Isograph's Availability Workbench™ 3.0.19

 

NEW FEATURES


  • Users may now optionally remove phonetics when importing from an Excel spreadsheet. The appropriate option needs to be set in the Application Options dialog, Import tab.
  • SAP maintenance order item equipment and location references are now attached for numerical numbering schemes.
  • SAP Portal downloads of materials now determine 'no in stock' from a sum of all material storeroom locations.
  • The last grid layout displayed is now remembered between program sessions.
  • SAP Portal downloads now apply cost conversions for currencies using a non-default decimal point scheme.
  • SAP Portal functions have been added to the SAP Build menu for deleting maintenance plans with no functions/equipments assigned and also task lists that are not attached to a maintenance item.
  • The drawing of large diagram reports has been significantly speeded-up.
  • SAP Portal options have been added to allow users to disable the plant and maintenance planning plant filters for task lists

 

REPORT DESIGNER


A feature has been added allowing reports to be displayed in full screen mode. This feature is particularly useful in applications (for example Reliability Workbench and Availability Workbench) where the report designer is hosted inside the main application window; the full screen view allows full use to be made of the available screen space when viewing and designing reports.

 

LICENSING


  • FlexNet Publisher licensing components have been upgraded from version 11.14.0.1  to version 11.14.1.0.
  • Verified support for Windows Server 2016 has been introduced in this release.
  • The controls have been re-organised on the File Return and Repair tabs, and the ShortCode Return and Repair tabs to make better use of the available screen space.
  • A  facility has been added to the License Activation dialog allowing a user to re-generate a return request file created using the File method.
  • Previously after generating the request file the selected fulfillment would be disabled with no further action possible until the response file was processed. The addition of the Re-generate button allows the request file to be recreated if the original request file is lost.

 

INSTALLATION


  • The installation performs a major upgrade in order that the FlexNet publishing service can be upgraded from 11.14.0.1 to 11.14.1.0.
  • If you are using a license server to serve floating licenses (as opposed to using a standalone license) then Availability Workbench 3.0.19 requires the Isograph License Server 11.14.1.0. The Isograph License Server 11.14.1.0 automatically installs the FlexNet lmadmin license server. The Isograph License Server 11.14.1.0 can be downloaded below.
  • If you wish to use LMTools instead of lmadmin then the requisite 11.14.1.0 LMTools components can be downloaded from the customer area.

Isograph's Reliability Workbench™ 13.0.2

NEW FEATURES


  • The FMECA module now supports function nets and failure nets as defined in standards such as VDA 4.
  • The FMECA module now calculates failure rates and failure metrics in accordance with ISO 26262.
  • An extended IEC61508 dormancy model has been added allowing users to model dormancy averages to high accuracy using the full exponential representation of dormant failures.
  • A new IEC61508 FT failure model has been added to the RBD and fault tree modules. This model is an extension of the IEC61508 failure model and allows for function tests to be incorporated into the analysis.
  • FMECA IEC61508 detection and coverage percentages are now calculated at system level.
  • The mouse wheel and shift key may now be used to scroll diagrams horizontally.
  • The Telcordia Prediction Standard has been updated to issue 4 (March 2016).
  • The Siemens standards SN 29500-15 and SN 29500-1 H1 have been updated to the 2016-11 edition.
  • Prediction to FMECA copy and paste now transfers the reference ID and analyst fields.
  • FMECA function blocks now display function text in the project tree control if the description text is null.
  • FMECA Criticality Matrix plots may now display Occurrence Ranking vs Severity rather than Criticality vs Severity. Use the appropriate option in the Plot Options dialog.
  • Event tree page flags may now be set or cleared for all branches in the selected column using options on the Diagram menu.
  • Editing the properties of a CCF Model now sets the calculation results out of date.
  • Reset selected default color button now works for fault tree and event tree labels in the project properties dialog.
  • Event tree diagram scroll bars are now hidden when in diagram/grid right window mode.
  • For fault tree initiator AND gates with multiple enabler inputs frequency-only cut-offs are now only applied when the final input has been calculated.
  • FMECA project results may now be viewed by selecting the FMECA results icon.
  • Priority AND gates now automatically assign the appropriate sequence flags to input gates as well as events.
  • Frequencies for sequenced events in a fault tree (First, Second etc.) associated with the 'Time at Risk' model are now calculated based on the time at risk rather than the system lifetime.
  • Fault tree and event tree now has an option to export results displayed in the results summary to a CSV file.
  • Fault tree gates and event tree columns now display frequency units if the appropriate option is set in the View tab of the Project Options dialog.
  • Fault and event tree confidence plots now show the pdf rather than the interval probability.
  • An option has been added to the fault tree special functions menu to allow the deletion of all unattached primary events.
  • The base 2 failure rates for GJB299C-A prediction switches now respond to unit changes.
  • Users may now specify failure rate units in the allocation module.
  • Failure rates may now be transferred from other modules to linked allocation blocks.
  • Prediction and FMECA block hierarchy structures may now be automatically converted to an allocation structure.
  • Allocation blocks may now be linked to objects in other modules using the data link facility. This allows prediction methods to be used to verify allocated rates.
  • Allocations block properties have been extended to include part number, reference ID, LCN, analyst, hyperlink and notes fields.
  • An extended graded allocation model has been added to the Reliability Allocation module. This model allows users to specify floating point grading factors and a grading exponent. This is particularly useful for basing allocation on cost optimization.
  • An 'Exclude' option has been added to the fault and event tree primary event sequencing property. Setting the 'Exclude' option will ensure that the event is excluded from sequencing calculations. The exclude option is identified in the diagram with a 'X' symbol.
  • Barlow-Proschan and Sequential importance measures are now displayed for event tree consequences as well as fault tree gates
  • Users may now force both unavailability and frequency cut-offs to be applied for fault and event trees. The 'Both' option requires the cut set unavailability and frequency to be below the appropriate cut-off before the cut set is discarded.
  • Event tree consequence cut sets may now be traced through event tree branches Markov module plots have been extended to include failure frequency, conditional failure intensity, reliability and unreliability.
  • Exclusive OR gates have now been extended to allow > 2 inputs Offsets (manually shifted gate positions) are now removed when copying fault tree structures from a library to a project.
  • New methods have been added to the dll allowing users to obtain the table name and row index of the currently selected object (for plugin apps).
  • Importance tables can now be populated from the DLL rather than calculated 'on the fly' like in RWB.
  • The drawing of large diagram reports has been significantly speeded-up.

PARTS LIBRARY


As of Reliability Workbench 13.0.1 the full parts library has been removed from the installation. The purpose of this is two-fold: firstly to reduce the size of the download package (from 450MB to 108MB for the x64 version) and secondly to allow the delivery of a demonstration parts library with the unlicensed version of Reliability Workbench.

The full parts library and associated installation instructions can be downloaded from the customer login or requested on a CD. This is applicable to those customers who have purchased a NPRD, IAEA or Electronic parts library license.

Isograph's Hazop+ 6.0.2 

NEW FEATURES


  • The standard study reports now show the 1-based study record number rather than the 0-based record number.

When upgrading from an earlier version of Hazop+ the user must update the standard reports to the latest 6.0.2 versions by selecting the Update My Documents content on program startup and Overwrite existing reports if older than source check boxes on the Options dialog. The reports will then be updated to the 6.0.2 versions when the program is restarted.

N.B. The above step must be performed if you wish to display the study record number in the standard study reports.

 

RESOLVED ISSUES

  • Using the find facility in the study grid when certain study columns contain no data causes an error message to be displayed. This has been corrected.
  • The study grid find facility returns an incorrect number of records when the Deviations column is searched. This has been corrected.

 

REPORT DESIGNER

A feature has been added allowing reports to be displayed in full screen.

 

NOTES

  • Hazop+ 6.0.2 is an upgrade to Hazop+ 6.0 and replaces it.
  • Hazop+ 6.0.2 does not require a new license. The Hazop+ 6.0 license supports Hazop+ 6.0.2
  • The installation performs a major upgrade in order that the FlexNet publishing service can be upgraded from 11.13.0.0 to 11.13.0.2.
  • The license server is now installed as a separate product - the Isograph License Server - and can be downloaded from the customre login area. This release re-instates Windows XP and Windows 2003 support for the license server.

Isograph's Network Availability Prediction™ V2.0

 

64-bit Application

Network Availability Prediction 2.0 runs as a 64-bit application allowing much larger models to be analyzed than in previous 32-bit versions. The efficient analysis of large networks requires significant amounts of memory for the computation of paths through the network and the determination of the minimal cut sets required for availability prediction.
Please note that Network Availability Prediction 2.0 requires a 64-bit operating system.

 

Improved Analysis Performance

Average computing times for analyzing large networks have been substantially reduced through the development of more efficient path generation algorithms.

 

Alternative Combinatorial Analysis methods

Network Availability Prediction 2.0 provides an alternative combinatorial cut set evaluation method to analyze large networks where availability is dominated by lower order combinations of network element failures.

 

Enterprise Version

The Isograph Enterprise System provides the framework for controlling multi-user project and library access through a central database system. Access rights to projects, libraries and administrative functions are controlled through user permissions. This allows an organization to:

  • Assign administrators to organize access rights to groups of users
  • Build a centralized hierarchy to organize projects and libraries
  • Restrict access to projects and libraries where necessary
  • Control the check-in and check-out of projects for modification
  • Track the current projects that are checked-out to users
  • Provide version control of projects and libraries

 

Enhanced Library Facilities

Users may now attach multiple libraries when editing the current Network Availability Prediction project. Network elements, parts and CCF models may be easily transferred to the current project tree or diagram using drag and drop facilities.

 

Enhanced Grid View

The new grid view allows access to data tables making up a Network Availability Prediction  project. Users may now construct their own custom grid layouts using filter and sort facilities and take advantage of the extensive Find and Replace functionality.

 

Report Designer

The Report Designer has been enhanced and extended to provide export and publishing facilities in Word and PDF format. Wizards are provided for report creation

 

Import/Export

Import and export facilities have been improved to include the latest versions of Excel and Access. SQL Server import and export is now possible.

 

Diagram Notes and Hyperlinks

Notes and hyperlinks may now be added directly to the network diagram. Note text and hyperlinks may be displayed by hovering the mouse cursor over the appropriate symbol in the diagram.

 

Spelling Checker

The new spelling checker allows users to check selected tables or the entire project for spelling errors.

 

Plugins

If you are licensed to use the new Plugins facility you will be able to create programmable plugins that read, analyze and modify data from the current Network Availability Prediction  project. Plugins may be used to create specialized reports, perform specialized operations or conversions, modify project data and call external libraries or processes. A plugin may be exported for use by other users.

 

Application Programming Interface (API)

A new and rich API (Application Programming Interface) has been added allowing .Net programmers to quickly build interfaces to other applications. All the standard project tables may now be accessed through the Dynamic Link Library (DLL) facility. The Network Availability Prediction DLL enables users to seamlessly link their databases or external applications to Network Availability Prediction projects. For example, the DLL may be used to create a custom link from a database for importing parts data into a Network Availability Prediction project.

Isograph's AttackTree™ V2.0

64-bit Application

AttackTree 2.0 runs as a 64-bit application allowing much larger models to be analyzed than in previous 32-bit versions.
